Fall Leaves: Using the Scanner as a Camera

When I took a digital photography class in college, one of the assignments involved using a non-traditional camera.  I chose to use the film/flatbed scanner as a camera.  I found that “photographing” vegetation with this instrument provided amazingly vibrant and detailed images that can be printed larger than the actual subject.  If you like this photograph, go to my Leaf Series to see more like it.
