Sheep Creek Waterfalls

While backpacking in the Wind River Range in Wyoming this summer, I base-camped for a few days with my group on the western slope of Geike and Raid peaks.  After an afternoon of driving rain, I took a walk around Sheep Lake before sunset and shot a few photos as the warm light started to shine on the western-facing slope of the mountains.  I found a series of waterfalls along Sheep Creek and decided to set up my tripod and shoot a panorama of the creek as the sun set.  I like the resulting print, but I wish I had included more sky to give the scene an increased sense of perspective.

  1. That was quite a challenge, getting a panorama of the moving water. Well done.
