Landscape and Panoramic Photography

Mt Victor and the Moon

This mountain and the weather events I experienced while camped near it were one of the highlights of my trip this summer.  We camped at the upper edge of treeline on the south ridge of the peak and spent a few days climbing and fishing near the partially frozen lakes surrounding the peak.  After witnessing tornado-like conditions one evening and a phenomenal sunset another evening (I will post a panorama of that sunset later), I decided to keep my camera on me at all times.  I especially liked the way the clouds boiled over the top of the mountain and then blew off the other side.  I waited one morning until the moon rose and the sun provided enough lighting for the whole scene, then shot this panorama.

  1. Amazing. One of those “makes the whole trip worthwhile” shots. 🙂

  2. Awesome photos! Why did you decide to give your pics the special b/w touch? 🙂
