Reaching for Winter

I like deciduous trees in winter because it is possible to see the sky through the branches.  My eye was particularly attracted to the texture of the trunk on this massive tree and the dark, cloudy sky above.  I also thought the tiny branches at the top of the tree looked like capillaries connecting back to main arteries and veins.
