Landscape and Panoramic Photography

Basel Bridge

While I was traveling around Switzerland, I was struck by the fact that many of the buildings are older than the most famous “old” and historic buildings in the States.  I started thinking more about the passage of time and about how these buildings will likely out-survive all of us.  This idea led me to try to capture some long-exposure, mid-day photos of Basel that blurred out any people, just leaving the semi-permanent features of the landscape.
