Buckskin Gulch Slot Canyon

Thanks to everyone who showed up to the gallery opening last night! Many people who approached me commented on how much they liked the print “Buckskin Gulch Wall” (see last week’s post).  I realized this morning that I have an entire panorama from that side canyon- I just printed it off after working on it all afternoon, and the piece really pulls me in because the eroded walls are so intricately textured and patterned.  This part of Buckskin Gulch is only about 2 meters wide, but the walls must be 30-60 meters tall, so the walls seem to close in on you when you walk through the canyon. You can get a sense of the scale if you can find the sky in the upper left corner of the panorama.

  1. I am used to seeing these locations in colour, but black and white works wonderfully.
