Wrather Canyon Panorama

On the second day of my trip into Paria Canyon this spring, we stopped near sunset and dropped our bags on a sand bar at the confluence of Wrather and Paria Canyons.  Before heading up Wrather Canyon to see Wrather Arch and fill our water bottles (the Paria River’s water is brown from the cattle and erosion upstream), we walked up a dune and cliff to appreciate the view of the curving Paria River as the sun started to drop below the cliffs to our west. I took this panorama from a small promontory/cliff hanging out over the river below. Our camp is just below the cottonwoods in the middle of the panorama.
