Landscape and Panoramic Photography

Dennis Lake

Hiking north over Hay Pass in the Wind River Range, the view opens up at the top of the saddle. Angel Pass hovers over the background to the west, and a giant waterfall full of snowmelt cascades down steep cliffs into Dennis Lake. Cumulous clouds fill the sky as the Divide forces moist air up that blows in from the West. I always try to stop on a rocky ridge near the top of the saddle to photograph the lake, cliffs, snowfields, and mountains.  Here are a few of my favorite panoramas from Hay Pass this summer.
